Configuring the GDPUC

This describes how to add a GDPUC and configure its attributes in BM/TC separated mode.

Scenario	BSC initial configuration and BSC capacity expansion
Mandatory/Optional	Optional. The GDPUC is configured in the GTCS to process voice services.

The GTCS has an idle slot to hold the GDPUC.

Preparation

On the BSC6000 Local Maintenance Terminal, click the BSC Device Panel tab. Select the number of the cabinet where the GTCS is located from the Current Cabinet drop-down list.
Right-click an idle slot among slots 0-3 holding the GTCS, and then choose Add Board from the shortcut menu. A dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.

Click Finish. The addition of the GDPUC is complete.
Right-click a GDPUC, and then choose Configure Board Attributes from the shortcut menu. A dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 2.

Set Load Key, and then click Next. A dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 3.

NOTE:
- When configuring the DSPTC attributes, select a DSPTC number first, and then configure the attributes of this DSPTC.
- If you select Configure All, all the DSPTCs will be configured on the basis of the settings of the current DSPTC displayed in the DSPTC No. drop-down list.
Set the parameters in the dialog box shown in Figure 3 as required.
Click Finish. The configuration of the GDPUC is complete.
