Inventory Management

This describes the definition, mechanism, and contents of the inventory management.

Definition of the Inventory Management

Inventory management refers to the management based on the equipment archive information. Through inventory management, you can know the running equipment and inventory equipment.
NOTE:
Inventory management requires information from the equipment archive. The equipment archive records the labels and attributes of equipment such as cabinets, subracks, and boards, including bar codes and hardware versions.

Mechanism of the Inventory Management

You can perform inventory management on either the Local Maintenance Terminal or the M2000. The inventory management file on the Local Maintenance Terminal is in *.xml format.

NOTE:
When you export inventory management files, the Local Maintenance Terminal prompts that generating inventory management files fails, if the BTSinventory.xml and BSCinventory.xml do not exist in IP address of the server\BSC6000\data\mtndata\inventory\template.
