BSC6000 OM Networking

This describes the networking of the BSC6000 OM system. The BSC6000 OM system consists of the server, LMT, and centralized OM system iManager M2000.

Figure 1 shows the logical structure of the BSC OM sub-system with GBAM.

Figure 2 shows the logical structure of the BSC OM sub-system with GOMU.

GBAM

The GBAM is the server of the BSC OM system. It is installed with the Operation Maintenance Unit (OMU). The GBAM is installed in the GBCR and connected to the LAN switch through an Ethernet cable.

GOMU

The GOMU is the server of the BSC OM system. It is installed with the Operation Maintenance Unit (OMU). The GOMU is configured in the GMPS of the GBCR cabinet. The functions of the GOMU are similar to those of the GBAM.

LMT

LMT is a terminal installed with the Huawei Local Maintenance Terminal software package. It is connected to the BSC6000 OM network. One BSC can communicate with one or more LMTs. The LMT is connected to the LAN switch directly or through the hub on one end, and is connected to the alarm box through a serial cable on the other end.

iManager M2000

The iManager M2000 (hereinafter referred to as M2000) is a centralized OM system developed by Huawei for the mobile communication network. The M2000, connected to the BSC through the Virtual LAN (VLAN), provides the functions to maintain the BSC.
