This describes LMT login modes. LMT login modes comprise the online mode, offline mode, and agent mode through the M2000 server. When a PC installed with the LMT cannot communicate directly with the server, the M2000 server works as the agent to ensure the communication between the LMT and the server.
Online mode
The online mode indicates that the user logs in to the server when the LMT communicates properly with the server. You can log in to the server through the LMT and performs data configuration and OM in real time through the BSC6000 Local Maintenance Terminal.
Online login users consist of domain users and local users.
Domain user
Domain users can log in to the LMT only after obtaining authority from the M2000.
Local user
Local users can log in to the LMT directly by entering the valid user name and password.
Offline mode
The offline mode indicates that the LMT does not communicate with the server. In offline mode, you can perform data configuration and OM on the BSC6000 Local Maintenance Terminal. The auto check function of the LMT software ensures the integrity and accuracy of data. After the data is generated during the offline operations, it is saved in files. You can upload the data to the server through the LMT and instruct the server to load the data files to boards.
You can configure the GBAM or the GOMU when you log in to the LMT in offline mode. The data configuration of the GBAM is not compatible with that of the GOMU.
Agent mode through the M2000 server
When a PC installed with the LMT cannot communicate directly with the server, all the communications between the LMT and the server can be relayed through the M2000 server. On the BSC6000 Local Maintenance Terminal, select M2000 Proxy and enter the IP address of M2000 server. The configured Proxy data will be backed up in the local configuration file of the BSC6000 Local Maintenance Terminal.
