Adding Shielded Alarms

This describes how to add shielded alarms according to alarm shield conditions. You can shield the unimportant but frequently reported alarms.

Prerequisites

The LMT runs normally.
The communication between the LMT and the BSC is normal.

Context

The alarm shield conditions consist of alarm ID, alarm object, and all the associated alarms of the alarm object. The alarm object can be categorized into site, cell, and BSC board.

CAUTION:

The shielded alarms will not be reported. Thus, faults may not be reported to the user in time. Therefore, use caution when you perform this operation.

Procedure

Run the ADD OBJALMSHLD command on the Local Maintenance Terminal to add shielded alarms.
