Resetting a Subrack

This describes how to reset all the boards in a subrack. The ADMIN users, administrators, operators, users, and custom users with related authorities can perform this operation.

Prerequisites

The LMT runs normally.
The communication between the LMT and the BSC is normal.

Context

The resetting of a BSC6000 subrack disrupts the existing services of the system. Be cautious when resetting a subrack.

When the control subrack of the fan box or power distribution box is reset, the fan box or power distribution box is also reset.

Procedure

Through GUI
1. On the LMT, choose BSC Maintenance > Maintain Device > Reset Subrack. A dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Set the subrack number in Subrack No. and then click Reset.
Through MML
1. Run the RST SUBRACK command on the Local Maintenance Terminal to reset a subrack.
