Reset BTS Hardware(RST BTSHW)

Function

An OM command that resets the BTS hardware.

Note

1. If the site reset is performed, all the hardware of the BTS is reset, thus affecting the ongoing services. Use this command with caution.

2. If the cabinet reset is performed, all the CDUs and TRXs of the BTS are cold reset, thus affecting the ongoing services.

3. If the RF TRX reset is performed, all the TRXs of the BTS are cold reset, thus affecting the ongoing services.

Parameters

ID Name Description
IDXTYPE Index Type

Meaning: how to specify a BTS

Value range: BYNAME(By Name), BYIDX(By Index)

Explanation: This parameter determines whether to specify a BTS by name or by index.

Default value: None

BTSIDX BTS Index

Meaning: BTS index

Value range: 0-2047

Explanation:

1. This parameter specifies the number of the target BTS. Each BTS is numbered uniquely in a BSC.

2. This parameter is mandatory if Index Type is set to BYIDX(By Index).

Default value: None

BTSNAME BTS Name

Meaning: BTS name

Value range: 1-32 characters

Explanation:

1. This parameter specifies the name of the target BTS. Each BTS is named uniquely in a BSC.

2. This parameter is mandatory if Index Type is set to BYNAME(By Name).

Default value: None

RSTTYPE Reset type

Meaning: reset type

Value range: SITE(SITE RESET), CABINET(CABINET RESET), RFTRX(RFTRX RESET)

Explanation:

1. Only the BTS3002C supports the site reset.

2. Only the BTS3012A and BTS3006A support the cabinet reset, that is, the reset of the CDU and the TRX.

3. Only the BTS3012AE supports the RF TRX reset.

Default value: None

CN Cabinet No.

Meaning: cabinet number

Value range: 0-2

Explanation: This parameter can be set to more than one value, for example, 1&2.

Default value: None

Example

Perform an RF TRX reset on a BTS (Index Type = BYIDX(By Index); BTS Index = 0; Reset Type = RFTRX(RFTRX RESET)):
RST BTSHW: IDXTYPE=BYIDX, BTSIDX=0, RSTTYPE=RFTRX;
