Parameter Name |
Protection Mode |
---|---|
Description |
This parameter specifies the protection mode of the optical interface board. The Automatic Protection Switching (APS) protocol is the standard protocol for 1+1 backup on the SDH optical interface. If the BSC supports the APS protocol, it can be directly connected to the peer equipment when the optical interface board uses the 1+1 backup mode. At present, the optical interface boards support only the 1+1 backup mode. In 1+1 backup mode, there is only one work channel between the BSC and the peer equipment. Traffic data is transmitted on the work channel and on the protect channel at the same time. According to the APS protocol status, the optical interface board selects the data from the channel with the higher transmission quality. Work channel: channel used to transmit traffic data when the network is in good condition, that is, the active optical interface board Protect channel: channel used to transmit traffic data when channel switch occurs, that is, the standby optical interface board |
