Parameter Name |
Inner Flow Control Discard Begin Threshold |
---|---|
Description |
Each time the BSC assigns a message packet, the number of message units in the assigned message packets is added to the queue of the inner flow control detection filter. The length of the queue is determined by the value of Inner Flow Control Window Size. When the BSC starts to perform flow control detection with a period of one second, The average number of message units assigned by the BSC is calculated through the filter. The number equals the average load of the BSC. If the average load of the BSC exceeds the value of this parameter, the BSC starts to discard the channel request message, paging message, and incoming BSC handover message. |

Configuration Policy |
When this parameter is set to 2000, indicating that the number of message units assigned by the BSC is 20000, the BSC starts inner flow control and begins to discard the access message, paging message, and incoming BSC handover message proportionally. |
Recommended Value |
2000 |
Parameter Relationship |
This parameter and Inner Flow Control Discard All Threshold determine the discarding ratio. The formula is as follows: If the average load of message packets is lower than Inner Flow Control Discard Begin Threshold, the discarding ratio is 0%. If the average load of message packets is higher than Inner Flow Control Discard All Threshold, the discarding ratio is 100%. If the average load of message packets is between Inner Flow Control Discard Begin Threshold and Inner Flow Control Discard All Threshold, the discarding ratio is (average load of message packets - Inner Flow Control Discard Begin Threshold)/(Inner Flow Control Discard All Threshold - Inner Flow Control Discard Begin Threshold) x 100%. |
