If the network requires the classmark 3 information, you are advised to set this parameter to Yes. In this way, the MS can quickly report the required classmark information and the query for the network can be omitted. In the case of dual-band/hybrid cell, GPRS/EDGE cell, A5/4-A5/7 encryption algorithm, and location service, you are advised to set this parameter to Yes. If this parameter is set to No, the MSC still sends a CLASSMARK REQUEST message to the MS after the dual-mode MS reports an EST IND message. Therefore, the MS should send a CLASSMARK UPDATE message to the MSC. Other functions are not affected. |
