In Abis over IP, if the terrestrial transmission is configured and the unidirectional transmission delay exceeds 40 ms, the LAPD Window Adjust Switch should be turned on. In other cases, this switch need not be turned on. When the LAPD Window Adjust Switch is turned on, the transmit and receive windows of the LAPD are enlarged if the delay increases. Thus, both the LAPD transmission rate and the consumption of the LAPD memory buffer are increased. |
