Description |
This parameter specifies the local area code (LAC). An MS can move randomly in the local location area and location update is not required. Appropriate segmentation of location areas has a significant impact on the balancing of signaling load and on the increase in the put-through rate. |

Caution |
LAC can be set in two modes: decimal and hexadecimal. On the LMT, this parameter can be set in decimal or hexadecimal mode. After a user sets an LAC in hexadecimal mode and then clicks OK on the LMT, the LAC is automatically changed into upper case. |
