Parameter Name |
Frequency Adjust Switch |
---|---|
Description |
When an MS is moving fast, a Doppler frequency shift occurs on the receive TRX. If the frequency shift is not corrected, the demodulation performance of the receive TRX deteriorates, and thus the communication may fail. To solve this problem, the automatic frequency correction algorithm is developed. With this algorithm, the bit flows on the radio link between the BTS and the fast-moving MS are measured quickly, based on which the frequency is automatically corrected. In this way, the Doppler effect is reduced. This parameter is used for the fast-moving handover decision. If this parameter is set to Yes, the BTS calculates the speed at which the MS moves towards or away from the BTS, and reports the speed to the BSC through the uplink MR. |
