Power Level

Parameter Name

Power Level

Description

This parameter specifies the transmit power level of the TRX. The greater this parameter is, the smaller the transmit power is.

When this parameter is set to 0, the transmit power level of the TRX is the greatest. Each time this parameter increases by one level, the transmit power reduces by 2 dB.

For different types of BTSs, the value range of this parameter is different.

BTS3001C,BTS3001C+:0-13.

All other types of BTSs :0-10.

Configuration Policy

Adjust the cell coverage area by configuring the Power Level; however, when the antenna is over high and covers too many cells, you should lower the antenna and increase the tilt of the antenna first. When the transmit power of a BTS reduces, the indoor coverage becomes worse.

Generally, for cells of the same priority in a network, the power level configuration should ensure that the EIRPs of the cells are basically the same.

When configuring the power level, you should note that different TRXs in a cell can have different losses due to different combination modes.

Caution

An effective frequency must be a subset of the CA table.

When the frequency hopping is not used, among the effective frequencies of the TRXs in the TRX configuration table, only the first frequency is valid, and other frequencies are not influenced.
