Measurement Counter

A0301: BSC_SGSN_PAGING_REQ_CS

Description

When an MS is called for CS service, the MSC sends the CS paging request to the MS over the Gb interface from the SGSN. This counter provides the total number of CS paging requests received by the BSC from the MSC, including the number of repeated paging requests. Refer to GSM Rec. 08.08.

Measurement object: BSC

NOTE:

This counter is valid only when the Gs interface between the MSC and the SGSN is available.

This counter is measured when the BSC receives the PAGING REQUEST (CS) from the external PCU or directly from the SGSN when a built-in PCU is configured, at A2 as shown in Figure 1.
