A331: CELL_PAGES_PS

Description

When an MS is paged for PS services, the SGSN sends a PAGING REQ message to the PCU. The PCU processes the message and then sends a PACKET PAGING message to the BSC. The BSC sends the PS PAGING CMD message to the corresponding cell based on the CI contained in the message. This counter is measured based on the cell. Refer to GSM Rec. 04.08, 04.60 and 03.60.

This counter is measured when the BSC sends a PACKET PAGING COMMAND to the corresponding cell under the BTS, at B2 as shown in Figure 1.
