Call Drops on TCHH Due to Handover Failure During the Loopback

Measurement Counter

CM328:CELL_CALL_DROPS_LOOP_HO_FAIL_TCHH

Description

In the stable BSC/BTS loopback state, a handover is initiated. After the handover is complete, the BTS loopback procedure is restarted. The loopback, however, fails because of various reasons. Then, the BSC regards it as a call drop and releases the call directly. This measurement provides the number of call drops on TCHH due to handover failure during the loopback.

Unit

Integer number or integer.

Measurement Point

A handover is initiated when the calling and called MSs are in the stable BSC/BTS loopback state. After the handover is complete, the loopback procedure is restarted. In other words, the loopback start conditions are determined, the local switch call detection is performed, and the BSC/BTS loopback start request message is sent. The loopback, however, fails because of various reasons (No Loopback Policy Available, Invalid State, Failures on the BTS Side, Territorial Resource Request Failure, Timer Expired, Not Support by the BTS, and other causes). Then, the BSC regards it as a call drop and releases the call directly.

If the channel that carries the call during the call drop is a TCHH, this counter is measured.
