Description

When an internal concentric cell handover is performed, the performance of the handover between different concentric cells is measured. This measurement provides the number of commands for the handover from the overlaid subcell of the originating cell to the overlaid subcell of the target cell. The measurement is performed on the basis of the target cell and covers the handover between traffic channels, handover between signaling channels, and directed retry.

Measurement Point

As shown in Figure 1, the counter is measured at B when the BSC sends the Handover Command message to the MS.
