Description

When the BSC receives an HO REQ message from the MSC for an MS in a neighboring cell from the TD-SCDMA network, an incoming inter-RAT inter-cell handover (TDD) is initiated. The specific counter is measured based on the channel type specified in the HO REQ message. Together with Incoming Inter-RAT Inter-Cell Handover Responses (TDD) and Failed Incoming Inter-RAT Inter-Cell Handovers(TDD), this counter indicates the performance of the incoming inter-RAT inter-cell handover (TDD).

The channel involved in the measurement can be the SDCCH or the TCH.

Measurement Point

As shown in Figure 1, if the BSC receives an HO REQ from the MSC and determine an inter-RAT inter-cell handover (TDD), the specific counter is measured at A based on the types of the originating channel.
