Description

This measurement provides the number of SUSPEND PDUs sent by a cell in a granularity period. When a class B MS handling PS services needs to handle CS services, the BSC sends the SUSPEND PDU to the SGSN to end the PS services. This counter indicates the number of times that the PS services are disrupted by the CS services.

Measurement Point

The following figure shows the process where the BSC sends the SUSPEND PDU to the SGSN. In a granularity period, every time the BSC sends a SUSPEND PDU message to the SGSN (see measurement point A in Figure 1), the counter is incremented by one.
