Call Drops on SDCCH (Receive Quality)

Measurement Counter

M3020C: CELL_SD_CALL_DROPS_QUAL

Description

This measurement provides the number of call drops on the SDCCH of a cell. The causes of the call release are air interface fault, no measurement report from the MS for a long time, Abis interface fault, equipment fault, and forced handover.

If the TA value is smaller than the maximum TA value of the current cell, and if the uplink receive level is greater than the Uplink Received Level Threshold of SDCCH Call Drop Statistic or if the downlink receive level is greater than the Downlink Received Level Threshold of SDCCH Call Drop Statistic, but the uplink receive quality x 10 is greater than the Uplink Quality Threshold of SDCCH Call Drop Statistic or the downlink receive quality x 10 is greater than the Downlink Quality Threshold of SDCCH Call Drop Statistic, then the counter, Call Drops on SDCCH (Receive Quality), is incremented by one.

Unit

Integer number or integer.

Measurement Point

  1. When a call fails and the BSC sends a Clear Request message to the MSC, this counter is measured.
  2. If the cause in the Clear Command message that the BSC receives from the MSC is not Call Control or Handover Successful and the BSC does not send a Clear Request message to the MSC before receives the Clear Command message, this counter is measured.
