Description
In the assignment procedure, the BSS assigns radio channels to an MS for signaling transmission. After the radio resource connection is established between the MS and the BSS, the mobility management and call control connection to the MSC is established through the radio channel. According to the call control connection request from the MS, the MSC assigns terrestrial resources to the MS and specifies the channel type for the assignment procedure in the ASS REQ message.
If the MSC specifies TCHFs or TCHHs for the assignment procedure in the ASS REQ message, these counters are measured after receiving the message.
Channel Assignment Requests in Assignment Procedure (TCH) indicates that the number of the channel assignment requests for TCHFs or TCHHs in the assignment procedure.

Measurement Point
As shown at point A in the figure, the previous counters are measured if the BSC receives the ASS REQ message from the MSC and the channel type that the message carries is TCHF or TCHH.
