In the TCH assignment procedure, the MSC sends the ASS REQ message to the BSC. The message carries the information about the channel type in this assignment and about the voice version of this assignment. The BSC assigns channels based on the current resource configurations.
The previous counters are used to measure the times that the BSC radio resource management module successfully searches the idle TCHFs or TCHHs in the channel resource table after receiving the request for TCHFs or TCHHs. The number of the times includes the number of successful preemptions of TCHFs or TCHHs. Then the BSC sends the CHAN ACT message to the BTS to activate the TCH.
Integer number or integer.
In the assignment procedure, the previous counters are measured based on the types of the assigned channels in either of the following cases:
The BSC successfully assigns or preempts available TCHs.
The channels are successfully assigned after directed retry in the BSC.
This is an original counter without involving any formula.
