Description

This measurement provides the number of the measurements of MR on competitive cell that the signal strength is in receive level N. N ranges from 0 to 7, mapping to [0-10], (25-30], (30-35], (35-40], (40-45], (45-50], and (50-63] respectively.

NOTE:

The round bracket indicates that the adjacent value is exclusive while the square bracket indicates that the adjacent value is inclusive.

Measurement Point

On receiving a valid MR from the MS, the BSC compares the signal strength of current serving cell with the signal strength of the neighbor cell. If the signal strength of the neighbor cell is within the range of N, the corresponding counter is incremented by one.

NOTE:

The measurement does not consider whether the neighbor cell is a competitive cell or not (the cell from another telecom operator). The BSC will measure the corresponding counters based on the signal strength of all neighbor cells provided by the MS. The measurement objects of the competitive cell are configured on the M2000.
