Internal Outgoing Cell Handover Commands per BSC

Measurement Counter

ZCH311:BSCRPT_INTRABSC_OUTCELL_HO_CMD

Description

This measurement provides the number of outgoing cell handover requests of all the cells controlled by a BSC. The channel involved in the measurement can be the SDCCH, TCHF, or TCHH.

In the outgoing cell handover procedure, the BSC sends a handover request to the MS through the source cell. In this case, the measurement is based on the channel type, handover cause, and handover frequency band type respectively in the source cell.

The handover causes consist of the following: uplink quality, downlink quality, uplink strength, downlink strength, timing advance, better cell, load, rapid level drop, MSC intervention, OM intervention, EDGE coverage, and other causes.

The handover can be performed between GSM900/850 and GSM900/850, between GSM1800/1900 and GSM1800/1900, between GSM900/850 and GSM1800/1900, or between GSM1800/1900 and GSM900/850.

According to the counter Internal Outgoing Cell Handover Requests per BSC, the internal outgoing cell handovers per BSC can be well understood.

Unit

Integer number or integer.

Measurement Point

This counter is measured according to the following formula when the measurement period ends. For details on the measurement point, see "Measurement Point" of each counter in the formula.

Formula

Internal Outgoing Cell Handover Commands per BSC = Outgoing Internal Inter-Cell Handover Commands

(That is, the total of the original counter Outgoing Internal Inter-Cell Handover Commands in all the cells of the BSC.)
