Attempted Outgoing BSC Handovers per BSC (900/850 to 1800/1900)

Measurement Counter

ZCH930Z:BSCRPT_OUTBSC_HO_REQ_1800_900

Description

This measurement provides the number of attempted outgoing BSC handovers per BSC (900/850 to 1800/1950). This counter measures the number of attempted outgoing BSC handovers initiated in the source cell according to the handover algorithm. The measurement is based on the channel type and signaling point. The handover causes include directed retry and indirected retry.

The channel involved in the measurement can be the SDCCH, TCHF, or TCHH.

The handover between different signaling points in a BSC is also called outgoing external inter-cell handover.

This counter shows the frequency of handovers from local BSCs to other BSCs. According to the counter Successful Outgoing BSC Handovers per BSC (900/850 to 1800/1900), the outgoing BSC handovers can be well understood.

The handover frequency band range is 900/850 to 1800/1900.

Unit

Integer number or integer.

Measurement Point

This counter is measured according to the following formula when the measurement period ends. For details on the measurement point, see "Measurement Point" of each counter in the formula.

Formula

Attempted Outgoing BSC Handovers per BSC (900/850 to 1800/1900) =

Outgoing External Inter-Cell Handover Requests (SDCCH) (Excluding Directed Retry) (900/850-1800/1900) +

Outgoing External Inter-Cell Handover Requests (TCHF) (Excluding Directed Retry) (900/850-1800/1900) +

Outgoing External Inter-Cell Handover Requests (TCHH) (Excluding Directed Retry) (900/850-1800/1900) +

Outgoing External Inter-Cell Handover Requests (Directed Retry) (900/850-1800/1900)
