Graphs - 2D Graphs - Pie Charts

Select Pie Charts from the Graphs - 2D Graphs menu to display the Pie Charts dialog. Pie charts (the term first used by Haskell, 1922) are useful for representing proportions. Individual data values of the X variable are represented as the "wedges" of the pie. In STATISTICA, circular or elliptical, 2D or 3D pie charts can be made to display either frequency data or data values of a single variable. Frequency data can be calculated in intervals defined in several different ways as discussed in Methods of Categorization.

Labels on pie charts can be specified as values, percents, text labels, text labels and values, or text labels and percents.
