Plot: Normal Probability

The options described here are used to select the type of probability plot that you want to plot in your graph. You can also choose to include a test statistic for testing the normality of the data and select the format for the values to be displayed in your graph. These options are available on the Normal Probability dialog as well as on the Normal Probability tab of the Plot Layout and Graph Options dialogs.

Plot. Use the Plot drop-down box to select the plot to which you want to make changes. If you have several plots in one graph, assign names to each plot using the Name field in the Plot: General options pane.

Statistics. Click the Statistics button to display the Statistics dialog in which you can choose to include the Shapiro-Wilk statistic for normality and the associated p-value. This dialog also is used to choose from the Value Format list the format in which the values on the graph will be displayed. Note that if you do select a statistic to include in your graph, the Add Legend dialog will also be displayed, which is used to select where and how to attach the statistic to the graph.

Do not assign average ranks to tied observations. This check box is selected by default, which enables you to see all data points, even the ties. When this check box is not selected, the "tied" points will overlap.

Type. Select the type of probability plot  (Normal, Half-Normal, or Detrended) to be plotted from the Type drop-down box.
