After you have entered a long text string, if the intelligent text selection function of Microsoft New Phonetic determines that the previously entered text needs to be changed, it will indicate the text changed by input status feedback. If you want to change it yourself, you can move the cursor to the left of the changed text by using Left and Right arrow keys or by pressing the Ctrl key.

Turn on input status feedback

The input status feedback feature is turned on by dedault.

1. Switch to Microsoft New Phonetic.
2. On the taskbar, right-click the input language icon ( or ), and then click Properties.
3. On the property sheet, click the Advanced tab.
4. Select ON or OFF for Input status feedback.
5. Click OK.
