If the punctuation auto-finalize feature is turned on, entering a sentence complete punctuation will send characters in the composition window to the text editor and complete the sentence.

A sentence complete punctuation is a symbol indicating the end or complete of a sentence.

Turn on punctuation auto-finalize

  1. Switch to Microsoft New Phonetic.
  2. On the taskbar, right-click the input language icon ( or ), and then click Properties.
  3. On the property sheet, click the Advanced tab.
  4. Select ON for Punctuation auto-finalize. (The default setting is OFF.)
  5. Click OK.
