Annotation data is included as part of a TIFF image page. It is accessed using a private tag in the page image file directory (IFD), as follows:
Tag ID = 32932 (decimal)
Tag Data Type = BYTE
Tag Data Count = size of annotation data
Tag Val/Offset = file offset to annotation data
