Installing and Configuring ShivaRemote on a Microsoft Exchange Client

Microsoft Exchange Server includes ShivaRemote, a tool for accessing the server remotely for users running Windows version 3.x, Windows for Workgroups, and MS-DOS. For information about installing ShivaRemote for other operating systems, see the Config.hlp file located in the directory where ShivaRemote is installed.

Note

ShivaRemote does not support the Microsoft IPX/SPX protocol; however, it does support the Novell IPX protocol. For more information, see the Config.hlp file in the \Shiva subdirectory.

To install ShivaRemote for users on Windows 3.x and Windows for Workgroups

    1. Copy ShivaRemote files to the Exchange\Shiva directory on a local disk.

    2. In the Microsoft Exchange program group, choose ShivaRemote Setup.

To install ShivaRemote for users on MS-DOS

� During Microsoft Exchange Client Setup for MS-DOS, select the option to install ShivaRemote files to the Exchange\Shiva directory on a local disk.
