Microsoft Exchange Client Is Slow
If Microsoft Exchange Client takes longer than usual to start up or seems slow, you can improve performance by doing the following:
- Modify the RPC binding order on the Microsoft Exchange Client computer so the protocol that the client uses to connect to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer is the first listed in the RPC binding order. For more information about modifying the RPC binding order, see Chapter 2, "Setup."
- If the Microsoft Exchange Client is using multiple information services, create different messaging profiles so services are loaded only when needed. For example, it can take longer to start up Microsoft Exchange Client if Internet services and MSNä, the Microsoft online service, are also loaded.
- Upgrade the Microsoft Exchange Client computer by adding more RAM or disk s pace, increasing the speed of the CPU, or adding a high performance network adapter and driver.
