Performing Administrative Tasks

You must have the following permissions to perform typical tasks with the Administrator program.

• To create a new recipient, your user account must be assigned the Permissions Administrator role for the Site object. No additional permissions are necessary. To create a new user account, your user account must be a member of the Windows NT Server Administrators global group in the domain that you are adding the account to.
• To modify properties on objects other than permissions, your user account must be assigned the Permissions Administrator role on the object, or it must inherit this role from another object.
• To modify permissions on objects, your user account must be assigned the Permissions Administrator role on the object or it must inherit this role from another object.
• To view properties on objects without modifying them, your user account must be assigned the View Only Administrator role on the object, or it must inherit this role from another object.
