Working with Package Definition Files

A package definition file (PDF) is an ASCII file that contains predefined Workstations, Sharing, and Inventory property settings for a package. When you create a new package, you can use a PDF to specify the properties for the package.

Note

When you create a PDF, be sure to include an icon file (.ICO) for the application if it will use Program Group Control, in the SetupIcon entry. (You cannot specify other types of files, such as .EXE, in this entry.)
