Creating an Enhancement Page

[This is preliminary documentation and subject to change.]

Enhancement pages are Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) files that format enhancement content, such as images and text, for display. If you want to develop applications that receive enhancements and you know how to create interactive World Wide Web pages, you already have most of the information you need. The interactive video supported by Broadcast Architecture is based on technologies you already know: HTML, Microsoft® ActiveX® controls, and Microsoft® Visual Basic® Scripting Edition (VBScript) or Microsoft® JScript™ development software.

To locate additional information about designing and creating enhancements for shows, see Further Information on Data Services for the Client.

Note  All ActiveX controls used in enhancement pages must be signed. Otherwise the ActiveX control is not displayed or run by Microsoft WebTV for Windows. This additional security is to prevent unauthorized controls from being downloaded and run as enhancements. For information on how to sign an ActiveX control see, Further General Information.
