Overview:

Some controls implement ISimpleFrame and will only work inside containers that support the ISimpleFrameSite interface. Word, Excel, and Powerpoint97 do not support ISimpleFrameSite and will not be able to host such controls. Note that Access97 does not have this limitation - that is, it supports the interface.

Steps:

Start Office97 app
Create new document
Choose View Toolbars and ensure Control Toolbox is visible
Click on bottom right button for "More Controls"
Scroll to find the control to Add
Click the control that requires ISimpleFrameSite interface implementation (that is not present in Office97).

Result:

Control will not be inserted.
