1. Make latches operable with one hand
2. Ensure devices do not generate electromagnetic fields that would affect users with hearing aids
3. Have separate components that allow for use of alternate devices
4. Use adjustable height, swivel, and so on, where appropriate
5. Have low noise operation
6. Have no hard edges or corners
7. Have no material creating allergies
