span

Description

Specifies how many columns are in the group.

Syntax

object.span[ = span]

Remarks

This property should be ignored if the COLGROUP element contains one or more COL elements. The span property provides a more convenient way of grouping columns without the need to specify COL elements.

This property has read-write permissions, meaning you can change as well as retrieve its current value.
