XL5: Cannot Delete Records After Using AutoFilter

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel version 5.0, if you delete records from a data list when you are using the AutoFilter feature and your data list range contains hidden columns, extra records will be deleted.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, when using the AutoFilter, unhide all columns before you delete any rows in the filtered range.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows. This problem has been corrected in Microsoft Excel version 5.0c for Windows.
