Control Caused Stack Fault in ODBCJT16.DLL at 000E:096C

SYMPTOMS

If you attempt to create or modify a text data source using Microsoft Query, the ODBC Control Panel device, or the ODBC Administrator program, and you are using the Microsoft ODBC 2.0 Text driver, you will receive the following error message:

   Control caused a Stack Fault in module ODBCJT16.DLL at 000E:096C

CAUSE

You will receive this error message if ALL of the following conditions exist:

  1. The file being used is a tab-delimited text file.

  2. The Column Name Header check box is selected in the Define Text Format dialog box.

  3. The Format option in the Define Text Format dialog box is set to CSV Delimited.

WORKAROUND

To avoid this error message, make sure the Format option in the Define Text Format dialog box is set to tab delimited.
