XL5: Custom Colors on Chart Change to Black When Workbook Open

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel, if you use custom Chart Fill colors to format a chart, the elements that are formatted with these colors may be colored with black when you close and then re-open the workbook.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, create custom Standard Colors rather than custom Chart Fill colors and apply the custom Standard Colors to your chart.

STATUS

This problem does not occur in Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0.
