  • Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0, you can insert a map only on the sheet containing the data to be mapped. In Microsoft Excel, you are unable to insert a map directly on another sheet within the workbook.

MORE INFORMATION

To insert a map on the sheet containing the data you want to map, select the data, and then click the Map button on the standard toolbar. To set the location and size of the map on your worksheet, drag the cross hair.

To copy the map onto another sheet in the workbook, do the following:

  1. Create the map object on the sheet containing the data.

  2. Select the map object. Then, on the Edit menu, click Copy.

  3. Switch to the sheet where you want to place the map object.

  4. On the Edit menu, click Paste.

NOTE: On the Edit menu, avoid clicking Paste Special, and then clicking Picture in the Paste Special dialog box, or you will copy the map as a picture and not as a map.
