SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel 97, if you click Convert To MS Access on the Data menu to convert a Microsoft Excel list to a Microsoft Access 97 database, you may receive the following error message

The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object
'<selection>'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell
its name and the path name correctly.

where <selection> contains the name of the active worksheet and the selected range of cells.

CAUSE

This behavior is caused by a limitation in the Microsoft AccessLinks add- in. If you want to convert a Microsoft Excel list to a Microsoft Access database, you are limited to converting 16383 rows.
