Excel 2.20: 1-MB Limit with System Earlier Than 6.0.2

SUMMARY

When using Excel version 2.20 under MultiFinder with versions of the Apple System earlier than System 6.0.2/Finder 6.1, Excel cannot address memory above the 1-megabyte (MB) level. This limitation occurs because earlier versions of MultiFinder do not distinguish between Excel 2.20 and earlier versions of Excel, which could not be loaded above the 1-MB level.

Excel 2.20 is not supported for use with versions of the System earlier than System 6.0.2/Finder 6.1.
