SUMMARY

To SHIFT-select multiple noncontiguous ranges in a Microsoft Excel worksheet or macro sheet, use the following procedure:

  1. Click the first cell.

  2. Hold down the SHIFT key and select the ending cell for that range. Release the SHIFT key.

  3. Hold down the COMMAND key and select the first cell of the second range. Release the COMMAND key.

  4. Hold down the SHIFT key and select the end of the range. Release the SHIFT key.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each noncontiguous range to add to the selection.

NOTE: The SHIFT+COMMAND key combination will not work because this combination cancels all previously selected text.
