The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 2.x, 3.0, 4.0, 4.0a, 5.0

Microsoft Excel supports the Intel 8087, 80287, and 80387 math coprocessors. Other math coprocessors, such as the Weitek, are not supported by Excel and may not appear on the Help About screen. If you have verified that the system configuration recognizes the presence of a math coprocessor that it is properly seated and Excel still does not recognize it, the coprocessor is most likely not supported by Excel.
