SUMMARY
In Microsoft Excel, if a long text string is entered into a cell, the
text is cut off instead of flowing into the adjacent cell if any of
the following conditions is true:
- The cell to the right of the text string is not empty. To correct
this, select the cell to the right and press the DELETE or
BACKSPACE key.
- The worksheet or macro sheet is displaying formulas rather than
values. To correct this, choose Display from the Options menu and
check to see that the Formulas option is deselected.
- The cell that contains the text string is formatted as Fill. To
check this, select the cell, and then choose Alignment from the
Format menu. In the Alignment dialog box, check to see if Fill is
selected. If so, select General or any other appropriate option.
