Excel: Extract Range Not Highlighted After Extract

SUMMARY

If an extract range exists on a Microsoft Excel worksheet (created by using the Set Extract command on the Data menu), the extract range will not be highlighted after an extract. This is important to remember when setting print areas or running macros that use this area.

MORE INFORMATION

Set Extract allows you to perform an extract without losing your current cell selection. Therefore, after an extract range is created, the same area of the worksheet will be highlighted as before the extract took place. In Excel versions 2.20 and earlier, the extract area is always highlighted after an extract.
