   A. To order your Excel for the Macintosh version 4.0 upgrade,
      please call Microsoft Sales and Service at (800) 426-9400,
      select End User Sales, and request information on upgrade
      procedures. The End User Sales office is open from 6:30 A.M. to
      5:30 P.M. Pacific time.

2. Q. What are the minimum hardware and software requirements for
      Excel for the Macintosh version 4.0?

   A. To run Excel for Macintosh version 4.0 you will need:

       - An Apple Macintosh Plus, Macintosh SE, Macintosh SE/30, or
         any of the Macintosh II, Classic, or Quadra family of
         computers.

       - System version 6.02 or later. Excel for the Macintosh version
         4.0 is fully compatible with System Software version 7.0.

       - Excel for the Macintosh version 4.0 requires 1 megabyte (MB)
         of RAM memory under System Software 6, but 2 MB is
         recommended. Running System Software 7.0 or higher, 2 MB is
         required, but 4 MB is recommended.

       - A hard disk with up to 8.6 MB of free space is required for a
         full installation of Excel for the Macintosh 4.0.

       - One 800 kilobyte (K) drive is required for installation.

      Excel for the Macintosh 4.0 will use any Macintosh-compatible
      printer.
